Here’s How It Works
Custom orders can be based on my previous works; although, every piece is made to be original in some way. Perhaps, I’ll modify size, colour, style, types of knots, style of weave, subject matter, or a combination of all of these. I keep many past works marked as “collected” in my online shop for people to browse and get a sense of my style as a creator. If you wish to send photos of macrame wall hangings that you saw elsewhere and want something similar, it’s a great starting point as inspiration for your own original piece. I will decline projects that aren’t a fit for my signature style, or have an unreasonable timeline. My minimum for custom commissions is $250.
While I’m based on Vancouver Island, I regularly create custom fibre art commissions for clients across Canada, and work closely with local clients in the Comox Valley through in-person or virtual consultations. Each custom piece is designed and created personally by me in my Vancouver Island studio.

To get started, we’ll meet personally or virtually to discuss materials, size, colours, style, and timeline. And I’ll create a sketch or presentation for your approval before I begin making your macrame wall hanging.
Following our design meeting, I can provide a more tailored quote for your distinct project, along with dates for project start and completion. The deposit invoice will follow. I require a 50% deposit before I begin work on your project. Then I order any materials that may not be in stock. The remaining project balance must be paid prior to delivery of the completed piece.
When your project is complete, we can meet (if your local to the Comox Valley), or I can send you photos before shipping the completed wall hanging to you. I accept payments by setting up a custom shop listing for you, or by cash or e-transfer.
Due to the custom nature of my work, I don’t accept refunds or exchanges once materials have been ordered and the project has begun. You’ll need to be certain in your colour choices, style, and size before I begin.
